Four frames of the seam transition: the panels sweeping in, the closed pink seam, the panels parting, the next page.

The seam

The site's signature motion: pages part at a vertical seam set on the mark's gap.

The question

Can one motion, taken from the logo, carry every transition on a site?

Made of

Page changes use cross-document View Transitions. The seam sits on the passage’s narrowest point, and its two edges clear in the ratio of the two forms’ heights. Sections open from a center seam, and link underlines draw out from the center.

With reduced motion there is no transition and nothing is clipped. No content is lost.
